CPD 417 Digital Leadership
This class taught me what it means to lead in a world where so much of work happens online. We looked at the difference between digital leadership and digital citizenship, and how leaders can use technology to connect with people, share information, and move a team forward while still being responsible and respectful online. A big part of the curse was hands-on-learning outside the classroom. I completed course through LinkedIn learning and earned my certification through Google Skillshop's Fundamentals of Digital Marketing. The biggest thing I took away is that leaders today can't sit back and let technology pass them by. they need to keep learning, stay curious, and use digital tools with purpose to serve the people they lead.
Project Name- Speaking Confidently and Effectively course via LinkedIn
For this project, I completed the Speaking confidently and Effectively course through LinkedIn Learning as part of my Digital Leadership class. The course focused on how to organize my thoughts before I speak, get my point across clearly, and cut back on filler words. It also covered how my voice, pace, and body language shape the way people hear my message, plus practical ways to stay calm when nerves kick in.
The biggest insight I got was that confidence comes from preparation, not perfection. I don't have to be the smoothest speaker in the room. I just need to know my message, keep it simple, and speak with purpose. that hit home for me because I brief leadership at work and speak in front of groups at church and in the community. Now I go into those moments more prepared and more relaxed, and I can tell the difference.
